New Record Set as Yellow Metal Surges to Rs 139,200 per Tola

Kathamndu: In a remarkable turn of events, the price of yellow metal has soared to unprecedented heights in the domestic market, marking a historic milestone. Today, hallmarked gold is commanding an astonishing Rs 139,200 per tola (equivalent to 11.66 grams), showcasing a notable surge of Rs 1,700 per tola compared to Monday's rates.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silvers Dealers' Association reports that just this Monday, hallmark gold was trading at Rs 137,500 per tola, underscoring the rapid escalation in its value within a short span.

Similarly, the ascent extends to worked gold, which is now valued at Rs 138,500 per tola. Meanwhile, according to the National Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers of Nepal (NEGOSIDA), the price of silver remains steadfast at Rs 1,750 per tola today.

This surge in gold prices reflects a complex interplay of global economic dynamics and local market factors, emphasizing the significance of precious metals in the current financial landscape.
